BLUE - PERFORMANCE
BLUE is a 20-minute dance - performance created during a pandemic lockdown and shaped by a deep sense of uncertainty. In 2025, the work resonates in a new way: we now live in a time where polarisation hardens and opposing worldviews seem to drift farther and farther apart. BLUE responds to that tension by exploring states of transition—moments that resist choosing sides and instead hold multiple realities at once.
The performance finds its inspiration in the blue hour, the moment when day drifts into night, when colours soften and borders lose definition. Two dancers move in synchronised, repetitive patterns that arise from an inner pulse, gradually transformed by live music. Their movements suggest an internal negotiation: a body navigating light and shadow, openness and retreat, clarity and blur.
As the piece unfolds, the environment transforms with it. An ordinary urban space is slowly tinted by the presence of the performers; sound, rhythm and shifting light begin to flirt with one another. For twenty minutes, day and night seem to blend, creating a fleeting harmony where contrasts stop opposing and start resonating—not to resolve into darkness, but to reveal a richer spectrum of in-between.
BLUE invites the audience to pause inside that moment, where uncertainty becomes a space of connection rather than division.
