Francisco Martínez is a Chilean actor, dancer and choreographer who studied acting at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Based in Berlin, he works internationally as a freelance dancer, choreographer and assistant director, and since 2021 has been part of Sasha Waltz & Guests, contributing as choreography assistant to a wide range of contemporary dance productions. His artistic practice blends dance with visual arts and examines togetherness, embodiment and sensory experience, drawing inspiration from visual art, architecture, anthropology, design and music video. Recent projects include Spiegelneuronen (created in collaboration with Rimini Protokoll), Beethoven7 and IN C (2022–2025 tours), as well as his own choreographic works such as ECOS (2025) and the duo Blue, shown at ACT Festival Bilbao in 2022. Earlier collaborations include working as choreography assistant and performer in Emergenz (Jose Vidal & Cía) at Kampnagel in 2019. His work continues to evolve through interdisciplinary dialogue, exploring how movement, memory and collective experience can transform both performers and audiences.
