Francisco Martínez is a Chilean actor, dancer and choreographer who studied acting at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He works as a freelancer dancer and choreographer in Berlin, currently works as choreographic assistant for Sasha Waltz & guests. In his development as an artist, Francisco is interested in the capacity of dance as a medium to express and dialogue with different disciplines in order to find a connection with our body and memory, that is constantly reinventing itself through different sources of inspiration, such as visual art, music video, architecture, anthropology and design. In 2019, he worked as choreographic assistant and dancer in the piece “Emergenz” (Jose Vidal & Cia) premiered at Kampnagel, Hamburg. In 2020 he premiered in Berlin his duo "Blue", which was shown at the ACT Festival in Bilbao, Spain 2022. The same year, he premiered with Sasha Waltz & Guest, SYMPHONIE MMXX at Staatsoper Unter den Linden, working as assistant choreographer.
